Track record & project highlights

Development of a real-time pipeline for stereo-LiDAR depth estimation for an autonomous excavator in challenging outdoor environments. Implementation of an octree-based projection of LiDAR point clouds onto the stereo image plane to reduce depth ambiguities. Extension of the OpenCV stereo matching module in C++ for the integration of LiDAR-based disparity information. Execution of multi-camera-based extrinsic calibration and time synchronization, as well as deployment of the pipeline with ROS2 and Linux. Integration of sensors, ECUs, and embedded computing units into an autonomous mobile robot platform. Design and execution of functional tests for autonomous mobile robots in simulation and real-world environments.
